Kindergarten

Welcome to kindergarten at BCS!  I am very excited to get to know my new class.  I wanted to take a minute to give you a little information about myself.  I have been teaching for 21 years and have been blessed that all 21of those years have been at Beekman Charter School (formally Beekman Jr. High).  I started my first year in kindergarten then was moved to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades.  Then 15 years ago I was moved back to kindergarten. Which is where I belong!  I love my job and getting to know a new group of kids every year is the best part!  After a few weeks in class together my students will become “my kids”.  We will begin to feel like family!

I am very fortunate to have a para (aide) to help educate our students.  Ms. Dakota joined me this year and she will be working with your children as well. So if you hear your child talking about Ms. Dakota you will know she is also a big part of your child’s day. 

I look forward to the new challenges and new opportunities this year will bring!
