ELA-

Phonics: This week we will learn to name the letters and the sounds of Ii and Nn. We will also read and spell words with letters we have already learned.

We will also have our 9 weeks’ assessment this week. We may or may not get to both of our new letters this week.

Sight Word: is                                                  Previously Learned Words: I, the, and, a

Handwriting: We will correctly write Ii and Nn.

Reading: We will read and discuss “Red-Eyed Tree Frog”. We will focus on story elements.

Math- We will count and write numbers to 10.

Social Studies- We will continue our unit “Where People Live” focusing on the United States.

Science-We will begin a unit on forces and motion.

A few notes and reminders:

We will go on a field trip to Broadway Farms on Oct. 7th. Students should arrive to school on time this day. If you plan to meet us at the farm your child may leave with you, but you must sign out with his/her teacher first.

Fall Break is Oct. 13th – 17th.

    Please make sure your child is putting their name on their homework.
