Read our digital periodicals/magazines from your Chromebook, computer, or mobile device (phone, tablet, iPad):
Download the Flipster app from your mobile device’s app store (with the help of a parent/caregiver)
Select your school “MCKELVIE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL”
Enter our EBSCO user id and password (please see Mrs. Cote in the library if you need assistance with this)
These instructions only need to be done the first time. After that opening the app will bring you to the magazines
Circulation
Students may check out library materials for a two week loan period. Up to 6 items may be out at a time. A book can be renewed at the library as long as another patron does not have the book on hold. Please be responsible for your library items! Notices for overdue library materials are emailed Tuesdays to students. Please check your school email accounts, McKelvie.
McKelvie Textbooks
Students will be issued school textbooks via the library in both 5th & 6th grades this year. These will be checked out through the Destiny Library Resource Management System. It is expected that textbooks are returned at the end of the school year with normal wear and tear only. Textbooks which are lost or returned with significant damage, will be charged for.
Expectations
Students are expected to return all library materials on time and are held responsible for all lost or damaged materials. Students are expected to display appropriate behavior and show respect for each other, for the resources, and for the Library facility. All McKelvie Intermediate School and BSD rules apply in our library setting. Your school library is a great place to read, research, learn, create, and play!
