Students are not considered registered for their chosen intersession unless payment or deposit has been received within the payment window for their class.
Students with unpaid registrations will be removed from their chosen intersession to make room for the next registration window.
Payments and Deposits may be made by cash, checks made out to Bedford High School, or by credit card via efunds. Cash and check payments are to be submitted through the finance clerk (Karen Blood, located in Mark Smith's office). Credit card payments are accepted through eFunds (link to eFunds).
Grant money is available for families who need it. Students who wish to use grant money to cover their deposit must have the application on file during their assigned registration window. See grant information.
Some international intersessions will use an external service (like a travel agency) to collect payment. These intersessions are marked in the program guide. Payment questions for these intersessions should be directed to the staff leading the trip.
Deposits are $300. Because intersession leaders will use the deposited funds to secure transportation, reservations, and materials based on their assumed roster sizes, deposits are non-refundable.
If an Intersession is $300 or less, then the full payment is due upon registration. If an intersession costs more than $300, only the $300 deposit is needed to secure a roster spot. Families may deposit more if they wish, and families may continue to add funds at an interval of their choosing. Intersession leaders, however, may also set their own payment deadlines.
If an intersession is more than $300, the entire balance is due by January 27th. (If an intersession is using an outside travel agency, this date may fluctuate. The intersession leaders will inform families of payment due dates.)
If a student is removed from an intersession because of an unpaid registration, they may attempt to register again in a later registration window, but if the intersession has filled because their open roster spot has been taken by another paid registration, then the intersession is considered full.
An Intersession fee is not assigned to Power School unless the Intersession has been properly registered for using SCHED. If a fee is expected and not seen in Power School there has been a registration issue. Contact the Intersession Coordinator.
Due to fluctuating costs of Intersession activities and transportation there may be changes in pricing for the program you have selected. Refunds in the amount of $20 or more per student may be given upon the conclusion of Intersession.
