Students at Everett High School operate a cafe, our menu items have included coffee, hot tea, cappuccino, hot chocolate, iced tea, and lemonade. We also offer 'flavor shots' to create strawberry, raspberry or peach iced tea or lemonade. We started in spring of 2019 with a cafe open for students and delivery for teachers. Each year has brought us more opportunities to try new ways to operate or shop including opening to the whole student body in the cafeteria and delivering to classrooms. The students learn some of what it takes to run a small restaurant or coffee shop from inventory, taking orders, operating a point of sale system, making and serving beverages and cleaning up after closing.

Families, host employers, supporting agencies and school district staff came together at The Hall at Kinton's Knob to celebrate and recognize the students that participated in the Transition Work Experience.
