Welcome Letter from Mr. DeMaio (8/14/23)

Dear Boonsboro Eagle Families,

Welcome to Boonsboro Elementary School and the 2023-2024 school year! I would like to extend a special welcome to all of the new families joining Boonsboro this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well! I am honored to be your principal. We are excited to get back to a more "normal" school year and are energized for the return of our students! We are confident this school year is going to be filled with great accomplishment, success, and lots of smiles and laughs! 

Our goal at Boonsboro is to work together to provide our students with a rich learning environment. My vision, as the principal, is to ALWAYS put students first! My belief is that all students can learn. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive in all ways possible. My hope is that all children will LOVE school and nurture a learning environment that is positive, safe, warm, and caring as well as a fun place to learn and grow.  

Student success is attributed to the partnership and the relationships we build within our community. It truly does take a village and at Boonsboro we value teamwork and collaboration! Education is a joint venture and Team Boonsboro greatly appreciates the support you provide for your child at home and at school to help them meet their learning goals. Without the support of parent contributions, we would not have many of the programs that make Boonsboro so unique and successful. Please consider joining our PTA or volunteering in the school. Your involvement can greatly benefit the success of our students.
