About me

I have worked at Lane for the past seven years. The first year I was a TA for the Bridge program and the last six years I taught fifth grade. I have a B.A. in both Psychology and Inclusive Education from Nazareth College. I have a M. Ed in Educational Technology as well, from Nazareth College.

I love spending time with family and friends, and I love to travel. I am working on visiting all 50 states (44 down!). I like to go on adventures when I travel. For example, I have white water rafted through the Grand Canyon, slept in an ice hotel in Quebec, climbed waterfalls in Jamaica, and explored the Mammoth caves in Kentucky, which is the longest cave system in the world! It was amazing seeing all that was underground (left picture below)! Last summer I explored Northern Italy during my honeymoon and hiked in the Cinque Terre (right picture below).

In fifth grade, I plan to teach in a way that allows students to explore what they are learning and use different avenues to keep the material exciting! I want my students to push themselves, but have fun at the same time. I enjoy getting to know each student, both academically and as an individual. Throughout the year I want my students (and parents) to feel comfortable coming to me with any questions or concerns.
