The mission of Dougy Center is to provide grief support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families can share their experiences before and after a death. We provide support and training locally, nationally, and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief. Contact them today. No insurance requirements.

Clothes for Kids

The Beaverton Schools Clothes for Kids is a volunteer service organization that provides free clothing for children in need in grades K-12 who reside in the District attendance area. It is staffed by Beaverton School District parent group volunteers. Parent groups and individuals also support Clothes for Kids with financial contributions that are used to purchase new articles of clothing such as socks, underwear and coats.

Northwest Children’s Outreach

NCO Functions as a collection and distribution center, collecting resources for these children and distributing the goods to local Care Providers who meet directly with and prescreen the children. NCO supports over 450 Care Providing agencies with the items families need, such as: Diapers, Clothing – newborn to teen, Books, Shoes, Formula, Hygiene Products, Toys, Other items children need

Breakfast and lunch is provided at no cost to all students for the 2021-2022 school year. Families do not need to sign up to receive meals.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) provides nutritional assistance benefits to children and families, the elderly, the disabled, unemployed and working families. SNAP helps supplement monthly food budgets of families with low-income to buy the food they need to maintain good health and allow them to direct more of their available income toward essential living expenses.

Washington County WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy food, health referrals and other services free of charge to Oregon families who qualify. Childcare

Community Action Head Start

A variety of pre-K learning programs for children ages 3-5-years-old. Home-based services and Early Head Start programs for children ages 6 weeks to 3-years-old for families whose income is within 150% of the current federal poverty guidelines. For families with incomes above 150%, inquire about Preschool Promise.

The Employment-Related Day Care Program (ERDC)

Early Intervention
