In our different cohort groups; facilitators engage their teams and buildings to empower their school community in digital innovation, as well as designing and managing digital coaching opportunities so that each and every student can thrive in the 21st century.
Digital learning cohort facilitators help articulate and facilitate how digital learning and teaching look at their site, especially centered around their particular cohorts focus (Canvas, Seesaw, iPad use etc.).
Facilitators will focus their efforts around building the digital learning capacities of themselves alongside their school communities in order to transform mindsets and share best practices. In the 2022-2023 school year there will be a coaching cycle component in addition to the main meetings for each cohort listed below.

There are a number of different roles both at the secondary and elementary levels.
The Library and Instructional Technology Teacher (LITT), fosters a creative, flexible learning environment, making the library a vibrant and inviting learning space and an essential part of the learning community by curating a collection of books, applications and digital resources that inspire a love of reading, nurture student innovation and create college- and career-ready critical thinkers. The LITT leads the school community in developing enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users of information through the development and administration of a strong school library program. In addition to teaching students, this position leads professional development for classroom teachers and supports the integration of instructional technology into classroom practice.

Canvas Facilitators deliver and facilitate professional learning opportunities for teachers and staff to support the Beaverton Future Ready initiative. Utilizing a train-the-trainer model, the LMS (Canvas) school facilitator will support their assigned school through training of school staff in the operation and maintenance of the LMS.

This professional learning network will be made up of willing participants from all the above cohorts, we will be learning about the coaching cycle based on the Apple Learning Coach program as well as using frameworks and strategies from the Art of Coaching by Elena Aguilar.
The coaching cohort will also do a book study on Eduprotocals by Marlena Hebern and Jon Corippo, to help learn more strategies that can be used immediately in their own classrooms. We will be looking at how to best implement those practices in our building as a site based instructional coach.
