College Fairs

The National Association for College Admissions Counseling is hosting their annual Cleveland NACAC Fair on February 10 from 1-4pm. This is a great way to see/learn about many colleges at once, especially if you're just starting to look. Register at https://www.nacacattend.org/24Cleveland. Let me know if you have questions!

John Carroll University is hosting the Northeast Ohio Suburban College Fair next Thursday, October 12 from 6:30-8pm. This is a great chance for students of all ages to speak with admission or alumni representatives from over 100 colleges and universities. There is no charge, nor is there any prior registration necessary for students, families, and school counselors to attend this fair. Click here for additional information on the fair.

NOTE: Strive Scan will be used at this college fair to allow students to easily provide their contact information to college representatives. Students attending the fair are encouraged to visit StriveFair.com before attending the fair to fill out the form and get a barcode.

College Now, Say Yes Cleveland, and the Cleveland Metropolitan School district are hosting the annual Cleveland Goes to College Fair on Tuesday, September 26th at East Professional Development Center (1349 E. 79th Street, Cleveland OH 44103). From 5 PM-7 PM, students, parents and families from the Northeast Ohio community are invited to attend. We will have over 90 institutions present at this year’s fair, which is our largest number to date!

Co-sponsored by Lakeland Community College and Lake Erie College, the Lake County Fall College Fair is held in the Athletic and Fitness Center on Lakeland Community College's campus. This annual event is free and open to the public. Students are offered the opportunity to speak with representatives from participating schools and ask questions regarding programs offered at that particular college or university.

3 tips for making the most of your visit

1. Review the list of attending colleges to narrow down where you want to spend your time.

2. Prepare a list of questions that will help you with your decision: 

• What are the most popular majors?

• How much is tuition?

• Are scholarships available?

• What is the ratio of professors to students?

• What are the student housing options?

• What is student life like during the week? During the weekend?

3. Pre-print address labels that include your name, address, telephone number, high school, and graduation year to stick on request for information cards to eliminate having to re-write your name and address at every table you visit. If you include an email address, we recommend using your personal email address. High schools may disable your high school email address upon graduation.

Cleveland is hosting a NACAC National College Fair on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. at the Huntington Conventional Center of Cleveland (300 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44113).
