SCAAE and NAAE Awards

NAAE and SCAAE Awards Descriptions

Nominations occur at the Fall Region Meetings each year. Those who complete and submit an application will be recognized along with the winners at Summer Conference each July.

All applications are due February 1st and recipients will be notified by March 15th. SCAAE Award recipients must complete the NAAE award application online by May 15th. Please be aware that the NAAE application is often longer than the SCAAE application. State winners should also fill out the Press Release Information form.

Judging of SCAAE award applications is facilitated by the SCAAE Past-President, who is ineligible for all awards. Judges will be arranged for each award from knowledgeable administration, community members, industry personnel, etc. Rubrics from NAAE will be utilized during the judging process and can be found here.

Clark Woods Distinguished Teacher, Teacher of Teachers, and 30-Minute Awards require neither nomination nor application. Please see descriptions linked above for more information.
