About Nurse Crofton:

My name is Ann Crofton, and I'm honored to have begun working at BEA Schools in the fall of 2013. Prior to my start as a school nurse, I worked at Mayo Clinic: St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN for nine years, and remained on staff in a part-time capacity until 2022.

I am a proud graduate of Blue Earth Area Schools. I obtained my Bachelor's in Nursing from Gustavus Adolphus College, and a Master's in Nursing Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I hold a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. I am a licensed Public Health Nurse and also hold a School Nurse licensure from the Minnesota Department of Education.

Professional areas of interest are disease prevention/health promotion, sexual abuse prevention and education, and helping students to take ownership of their health.

My hobbies include spending time with my family, reading, trying to garden, and being outside whenever the Minnesota weather permits. I love my morning coffee, and it's rare to see me without my coffee mug prior to 10am!
