This assignment lets everyone pick an activity or do something that they need to get done. Everyone did something different. My genius project was finishing my Eagle Scout. I have been in scouts for a long time, and my genius project was to get my Eagle Scout. I was procrastinating it for a while, so this was a good opportunity for me to get it done. This would be one of the first big projects that I did for JAGS. It would get me ready for the other projects that I would do this year and later in the program. I am happy that I was eventually able to get my Eagle Scout and finish the project.
This, as well, is a part of the pillar of take action because the project was about me taking action to finish my Eagle Scout. I also had to create a service project to finish my Eagle Scout. I made picnic tables for an elementary school for this project. I took action by making a project and by finishing my remaining merit badges. I was eventually able to get my Eagle Scout later in high school. This project shows me becoming a global citizen because, for the merit badges that I completed, I had to learn about the world. I really liked this project, and I would recommend it to everyone. This would as well set the stone for me getting my Eagle Scout later during my junior year. The action that I took during my freshman year and this project would set me up for success later in life. This was a very important project and one of the best parts of English during my freshman year.

This debate was a trial about whether King Louis should be executed or not. It was a really fun debate. I was a witness to what King Louis did to the French people. I was Jean Marot for this debate, and I got really into it. It helped me understand how the French people felt by researching Jean Marot. I got to learn more about French culture with this debate. This would get me ready for debates that I would have during high school as well. Throughout high school I would have many other debates and this would help me step out of my comfort zone and be ready to talk Infront of people.
This helped me investigate the world. I was able to learn more about the world with this debate and become a better JAGS student. This was one of the best ways that I learned about the French Revolution. I got really into this debate, and it is one of the most work that I put into a project. I even got into the bathtub that was in the glass to pretend to be Marot. This was also beneficial to me because later in high school I went to France. I was able to understand many places that we saw and understand why places in Paris and Versailles are important. I was able to recognize the perspective of what a French person felt like during this time period as well. I got really into being a witness and being able to recognize how frustrated the French people were, it made me get more into character and I was able to really learn in a fun way.

This assignment shows some of my best work for Chinese class this year. This assignment was Chinese New Year. I made a presentation about one part of the Chinese New Year. I would also bring in food for the day because it is a holiday about food and having fun with your friends and family. This is some of my best work because I put hard work into making the food and the presentation for the day.
This reflects investigating the world because I would work hard to learn about the Chinese culture. I investigated their culture during the Chinese New Year to create a presentation and to learn more about it in general. I also tried some new food during the Chinese New Year. This shows me investigating the World by trying new food and learning more about the culture.

Everyone was partnered with someone in the class for this assignment. Everyone then has to choose a country, and you have to research the environment in that country. I was with Addison Blandford for this project, and we researched the environment in Indonesia. We researched a lot about their environment, but also about their government. I was able to find that Indonesia specifically looks to create better Land and Water for animals. After the project is finished, we hung it up at a JAGS event called Summit Night.
This is connected to investigating the world because I had to research a lot about a country that I do not know much about. I was able to investigate the world to learn about Indonesia's environment and how they plan to solve issues in their country. This is some of my best work because I put a lot of work into researching this and learning about this country. This is also related to Recognize perspectives Because I was able to learn more about the perspective of the environment in Indonesia. I was able to learn more about the countries problems and how to fix them through investigating their country and learning their perspectives.

This is significant because it was the first JAGS trip that I had ever been on during high school. This is significant because we also went to some very historically significant places. We went to Harpers Ferry, and we saw other historical sites. This was a really fun trip because I got to hang out with my friends, learn more about historical sites, and learn about third-world countries. This would set me up for success during my time in JAGS because it would help me get closer to a group of people that I would be spending my entire high school career with. This trip let me meet new people that I have never talked to before and learn more about places I have never been. I am very grateful for this trip and what it has offered me.
This is connected to recognizing perspectives because we did a simulation where we pretended to be a third-world country. There were many different countries in their simulation, and we got to learn how these people live. We recognized their perspectives by cooking their food and sleeping like they sleep for a night. This was a really good experience, and I would recommend it. I was also able to investigate the world by going somewhere that I had never been. I went to Harpers Ferry, a Civil War battlefield, and also the Heifer International Village. I have never been to these places, and I was able to learn more about the United States and our history by going there. This would also help me investigate the world because I was able to learn more about third world countries that I have never even heard about. I was able to learn how these different third world countries would prepare food, how they would sleep, and other aspects of their life. It would give me a new understanding of these countries and what they are like. Due to me learning more about these countries I have become more aware of what these people have gone through. I am more empathetic towards people in these countries because I understand what they have to go through just to make food. Overall this trip was able to help me learn more and understand different aspects of the US and other countries.
