This artifact demonstrates the JAGS pillar of the Recognize perspectives pillar. This statement was the concluding statement of the Lenin v Tsar trial in Mr. Marlett's class. This assignment required me to prove that Lenin was a better leader for Russia than the Tsar. Lenin is typically regarded as a sadist who harmed Russia and introduced a communist pathway for Russia. Without this artifact, I would not have learned about the positive sides of Lenin's rule of Russia. This actually shows how I had grown through that season. I would have never actually considered that Lenin would have been a better leader as he did through thousands of people into the gulags. This project changed how I see dictators now and their regimes. It made me realize that dictators are, at times, better than the previous government that ruled that country for the people initially. I learned how to think critically, analyze "wrong" perspectives, and understand how other nations work. I am becoming more globally competent as this project shows me that people are not everything they seem.
This matches the JAGS pillar of Recognize perspectives. This artifact a deep understanding of a country's culture and its enviromental issues. The goal for this was to educate the general popualtion to understand international issues plauging nations around the world. This rpoject demonstrates a large part of growth. This project is a more complex and indepth version of the GO night project which demaned a deeper comphrension of the 30 SDGS and world issues. This project required a lot of research on the specific enviromental issues plauging Kenya. It needed artistic organization. It required precise placements and required specific word counts. This artifact challenged me to see my home country had issues beyond human rights issues. I learned how to communicate complex issues, and how to articulate in a meaninful impactful way.
This essay allowed me to analyze perspectives that are typically overwritten by politics or broader ideologies. This assignment was an essay written in response to a global question. I researched the depth of the issue, discussed the problem with my peers, and crafted solutions. This artifact showed a starting point. This project was the first project that I completed within JAGS English. This project demonstrates a starting point. With this project, I learnedhow to research h, compile evidence evvectivitly and communicate complex topics.
This artifact is a project that I did for my second year of french. It it the house of Etre. The house of etre is the movement verbs depicted on a house. This artifact was created by learning each movement verb, finding the appropriate image and arranging it on a G drawing board. I learn how to describe movement.
The most memorable thing about Heifer was playing four square with A, Lilly C, Lilly T, and others. It was memorable because that was when we showed off our playful sides. The funniest moment was when we started canceling each other. The second most memorable thing was cooking dinner in Mozambique and then cleaning dishes in the morning after breakfast.
I learned that we all can help the world in some way to resolve some of its problems. I learned that there is enough food for everyone on Planet Earth but the food distribution is not evenly spread out. I learned that sometimes it's better to let someone else take charge and other times, taking charge might be the best thing you could do. I learned that I can be patient and that sometimes sacrificing something is the best thing that you can do for others and yourself.
I can take action by volunteering at shelters, and food pantries and helping to raise awareness bout various issues. I can take action by living sustainably. I can make a change by starting food drives for food pantries. I can use my cooking ability to cook food for shelters all around Canton. I can use the platform my church has and help with different organizations.
