JAGS Pillar: Communicate Ideas
AP Lang
My artifact for AP Lang is my podcast on learning how to drive. We all got to chose a relatable topic and create our own 10-15 minute podcast for the midterm. My group chose learning how to drive because that is something everyone can relate to and it brings out a wide range of emotions from fear to amusement. This project connects to the JAGS pillar of communicate ideas because I learned how to communicate my ideas in a new form, which was podcasts. I think this new skill could really help me grow as a jagger because it allows me to be able to communicate my ideas to anyone with internet access.

Artifact Title: Indoctrination Resolution
Date When Completed: winter 2024
JAGS Pillar: Take Action
Model UN
Unfortunately I was not able to make it to two different Model UN conferences, so Ms. Stone gave me the opportunity to write a resolution on indoctrination. This resolution allowed me to research many ideas of our government and how they often do not line up with the values of our country. This artifact connects to take action because it gave me a way to learn how to take action through creating a new bill, and even though it is not a real resolution, it still could be used to take action to protect the education systems in the US. I think this artifact could even connect to recognize perspectives as my research allowed me to understand perspectives of many different groups in the US. This also helped me grow as a jagger because it improved my resolution writing skills because this was oen of the first times I wrote a resolution on my own with no support from my peers.
My artifact for AP Biology is my current events project. With one other person we had to research a current biology event and present our findings to the class. We chose an experiment done on transplanting rat brain cells into mice. The mice were able to grow the brain cell from another species which had never been done before. This project connects to investigate the world because I investigated the science world and learned about many different current scientific findings that were all very facsinating. I also think this connects to communicate ideas because I learned how to communicate other's ideas by transferring a research article into our slideshow.

Artifact Title: Brain Cap Lab
Date When Completed: fall 2024
JAGS Pillar: recognize perspectives
AP Psychology
My artifact for AP Psychology is the brain cap lab, however I think this entire course connects to the JAGS pillar recognize perspectives as it helped me understand why people think and behave in different ways. For the brain cap lab we had to take a swim cap and turn it into a diagram of the brain. Through this project I was able to learn the different functions of each brain part and what happens when each part of the brain is hurt. By learning about this I was able to recognise the perspectives of people who have gone through brain damage and understand how they must live their lives. Throughout the course we learned about different psychological disorders and how they affect the brain. This gave me a new understanding of people with mental health problems and also allowed me to evaluate how stereotypes can harm people with brain damage of psychological disorders.
My artifact for AP Seminar is my IMP, which is a research based presentation and a part of the AP exam. For this assignment we had to come up with a topic that connected to stimulus materials, research it, write a research paper on it, and finally give a presentation on it. I decided to chose lifestyle modifications to prevent AD as it allowed me to get more understanding of medical concepts and also because I am interested in longevity and preventative medicine. This project really helped me with my communication skills as it was the first time I had to do a big presentation by myself. It connects to communicate ideas because I was able to communicate my ideas to my class and I also had to be prepared to answer questions at the end. This project gave me a new understanding of Alzheimer's Disease and allowed me to practice my speaking and presenting skills while focusing on a global issue and coming up with solutions.
