Go Night Presentation
Sophomore English, Mrs. Muckley
Take Action
This was my sophomore go night project on animal abuse in the farming industries. I was able to research, interview an expert, volunteer at a rescue center, and present my findings to a large audience. I would say this project connects to take action, but the presentation aspect also connects to communicate ideas since we shared our ideas to our audience and changed many people's minds. This was my first go night and first big JAGS project and I was very proud of it especially since I personally related to the topic as I have been a vegetarian for over five years.

Sophomore year I took AP US History for my history class. I learned so much about the history of the United states and what went wrong. This class gave me a bigger perspective of what life was like for minority groups and society in the past which is why it connects to the JAGS pillar recognize perspectives.
This assignment was an essay organizer comparing different reforms in the US. Over the year I learned about multiple reforms and how individuals saw a bad situation and took action. In addition to the exciting outdoor adventures, the trip also exposed me to Costa Rican culture. By really immersing myself in a new environment, I had the chance to try local food, view diverse wildlife, and learn about the vibrant culture Costa Rica had to offer. Teacher/Advisor that year and Course Title: Mr. Biros, AP Stats
Pillar: Take Action
AP Statistics was the very first AP class I took. It challenged me and taught me study methods and math that can be used in the real world. Even though I did not get a 5 on the AP exam, I am proud of myself for passing because this was a very challenging class to take as a sophomore. I think my score shows my determination and connects to the JAGS pilar take action as I took action on my education by studying and deciding to take such a hard class for sophomore year. The AP exam showed me what high level students must go through in order to achieve their goals and earn college credits. This class and exam helped me grow as a JAGS student because it taught me to be determined and go after my goals.
