About Me
Hi! My name is Adrijana Vranesevic, I am a senior at Jackson High school. I am a student of the Jackson Academy of Global Studies. In 8th grade I made the decision to be a part of the JAGS program during my high school career. I originally joined for the fun trips, but I am leaving with much more. This choice has given me a broadened perspective on the world, an education filled with fun, and best friends that I have met through JAGS. I am forever grateful for my JAGS journey, all the long hours of projects were worth the friendships and education that JAGS has given me. I also am a part of many clubs such as, Spanish Club, Spanish Honors, Math Honors, Teen Initiatives, Clothes for a Cause, and Freshmen Mentors. When I graduate I plan to attend the University of Akron and major in Psychology.

The Four Pillars of JAGS
Investigate the World:
The GO Night project for my JAGS World History Class focuses on the JAGS pillar Investigate the World. We were able to see the lives and history of 2 different countries then find connections that not many could see. I think this project was perfect for brand new JAGS freshmen, and helped with building social skills and global perspectives.
Recognize perspectives:
Overall my Hispanic Heritage project focused on the JAGS pillar of Recognize Perspectives. Spanish class is not just about the grammar and writing, but also about the history and tradition within the language. This project perfectly represented what JAGS stands for. Which is learning and growing perspectives globally. We were able to participate while learning more about Hispanic culture.
Communicate Ideas:
The JAGS pillar that my trip to Heifer mainly represents is Communicate Ideas. My group used teamwork to eat and entertain each other. We also helped each other when needed, for trading or even not going in the dark alone. Overall, this trip was a memorable experience and I will never forget the skills I learned.
Take Action:
My Genius Project for JAGS English 9 highlights the JAGS pillar Take Action. Each student took time and effort to improve a skill or hobby and then show the class their progress. We would work on these projects every Friday, and I thought it was a fun and creative way to end the week. English 9 was full of laughter and creativity on the days we worked on these projects, and it was interesting seeing everyone's new hobbies and skills.
Investigate the World, Recognize Perspectives, Communicate Ideas, and Take Action
It's no surprise that the Documentary incorporated all the JAGS pillars of Investigate the World, Recognize Perspectives, Communicate Ideas, and Take Action. Our group investigated how every country either used or didn't use art to enhance education. We recognized different perspectives of students in different schools or grade levels. It was necessary to communicate every idea we had and wanted to use within the final product. And we took action by interviewing students, teachers, and experts to find the importance of art.
Recognize perspectives:
This research paper used the JAGS pillar of Recognize Perspectives. During the research for this essay, as a writer you had to view the perspectives of the wrongfully convicted, witnesses, the jury, and why the Innocence decided to help the individual. I learned a lot about not only the process of being tried for a crime and the process of being recognized as a wrongfully convicted person.
Communicate Ideas:
Track expressed the JAGS pillar of Communicate Ideas. Even though each individual has their own separate event and focuses on themselves, we all communicate with coaches and other athletes to decide what is best for the team. We also cheer on for every event, just like a team should.
Recognize Perspectives and Take Action:
Our crisis during GO Pancake Breakfast uses the JAGS pillars, Recognize Perspectives and Take Action. We all had to become educated on the crisis and the country's background and views. With that information we then communicate what solution would be best for the UN and world. As a chamber we vote on resolutions, motions, and directives and that would not be possible without the pillars presented.
Investigate the World and Recognize perspectives:
This paper addresses the ideas Investigate the World and Recognize Perspectives. When researching for this paper I had to see the positives and negatives of animal testing regulations in separate countries to compare to the U.S. I also had to see why this bill was favored by certain interest groups such as PETA, and why it was not favored by other interest groups.
Communicate Ideas:
The JAGS pillars this project represented was Communicate Ideas. As a group we had to decide what we would do, create a script, film it, and then edit the video. Constantly we were each talking through ideas and giving our thoughts on how to improve the project. I was also able to use my past experience with JAGS projects to keep the project organized and submitted on time.
Take Action:
During our Capstone project we used the JAGS Pillar Take Action. We spent three separate occasions at the middle school restocking the restrooms, then an hour with six volunteers organizing and creating the Freshen Up kits. We also spent time creating signs and posters to promote the importance and premise of the project. This project was fulfilling to complete and is still earning donations for those in need.
