English Comedy and Satire: Parody Project
Teacher: Mr. Gillette
January 7, 2026
Reflection:
This project was one piece of our final we had to complete for the class. The premise of the project was to create a parody of something that already existed, for example we used energy drink commercials. This video was very fun to make as it was meant to be a satirical piece and was made with my friends in the class. We created the video at the Jackson Park, and made sure to include the outrageous sayings that brands include with there project. It was my job to then edit this video to make it seem more like a commercial. The JAGS pillars this project represented was Communicate Ideas. As a group we had to decide what we would do, create a script, film it, and then edit the video. Constantly we were each talking through ideas and giving our thoughts on how to improve the project. I was also able to use my past experience with JAGS projects to keep the project organized and submitted on time.

CCP US Government and Politics: Term Paper
Teacher: Mr. Amedeo
March 1, 2026-April 27, 2026
Reflection:
The instructions for this paper were to create or review a bill, follow the sequence of events of the bill becoming a law, the for and against, and the roles of the three branches of government. This paper also had to be 4-6 pages with a title and works cited page. The bill I decided to review was the SPARE Act, this bill if it became a law would put an end to federal funded animal testing, re-home/retire animals currently used in testing, and add full transparency with animal testing regulations. This paper addresses the ideas Investigate the World and Recognize Perspectives. When researching for this paper I had to see the positives and negatives of animal testing regulations in separate countries to compare to the U.S. I also had to see why this bill was favored by certain interest groups such as PETA, and why it is was not favored by other interest groups.

JAGS Senior Capstone: Capstone Project
Teacher: Mrs. Morgan
January 7, 2026-April 30, 2026
Reflection:
Our final project for JAGS was our Capstone Service Project. This project started at the beginning of the second semester, and ended at the end of May. My group and I are involved in the Teen Initiatives Club, and we wanted to expand our responsibilities of providing feminine products. We decided to extend the club out to the middle school and created bins and signs to place in three of the middle school bathrooms. We then had an interview with Mrs. Renaldo, which helped us expand our project even farther, and gave us the idea of Freshen Up kits. These kits are used in the elementary schools and used by students who do not have the proper hygienic items. For these kits we made a donation drive, for five items for one hour. The items we asked for are toothpaste, brushes/combs, deodorant, and facial/body wipes. This donation drive was extremely successful and raised over 200 donations. This project used all the pillars of JAGS but especially Take Action. We spent three separate occasions at the middle school restocking the restrooms, then an hour with six volunteers organizing and creating the Freshen Up kits. This project was fulfilling to complete and is still earning donations for those in need!
