Environmental conditions- aspects of an environment or habitat, such as the climate, vegetation, or elevation that can affect the living things.
Control- the part of the experiment where you keep everything the same.
Fair test- an experiment carried out to answer a testable question, in which only one variable is changed at a time
Environment- the natural world
Trait- a property or feature of an organism
Variation- the differences that exist between individuals of any species.
Test- in an experiment, the item or trial where you change something and then compare the results with your control.

Week 3:

Pronoun-Verb Agreement

A present-tense verb must agree with its subject pronoun in simple and compound sentences:

You have such a cute dog!

I walk, but she rides her bike.

Add -s or -es to most presenttense action verbs when using singular pronouns he, she, and it:

He watches the Olympics.

It rains almost daily in April.

Do not add -s or -es to a presenttense action verb when using plurals we, you, and they or singular pronouns I and you:

They go to the fair every year.

Week 2:

Subject Pronouns

Pronouns must be used correctly with regard to case. Pronouns have three cases: subjective, objective, and possessive.

A subject pronoun is used as the subject of a sentence:

They love to go camping.

Singular subject pronouns are I, you, he, she, and it:

She works at the theater.

I have never been there.

Plural subject pronouns are we, you, and they:

We have school on Tuesday.

You all can have a snack.

Week 1:

Pronouns

A singular pronoun replaces a singular noun. Plural pronouns replace plural or multiple nouns:

The boys painted the fence.

They painted the fence.

A personal pronoun replaces a singular or plural noun that refers to a person or thing. Personal pronouns include I, me, you, we, us, he, she, it, they, him, her, them, and our:

Give the book to me.

She won the gold medal.

Indefinite pronouns do not refer to a specific person or thing. They include someone, no one, or everybody:

Everybody went to the play.

No one made a sound.
