Who I am as a Learner

Knowing who you are as a learner is important because it helps you be independent and set your future goals. It also helps you improve your weaknesses and makes you more confident. When you know your strengths and use them, you can feel it inside your body and you are motivated from inside.

How am I motivated?

Most of us do things for praise, money, medals and so on; we do things for external rewards. Well, we've got to change our mind set and start doing things for our inner selves. You might be thinking, "Well, I am not doing that if I don't have anything good at the end." If you are really keen to do that one thing that means the most to you, the pain you feel today will be gone tomorrow and you'll improve step by step. Have a look at my quote and motivation poem.

Skills a successful learner should have

As a learner, I believe that research is an important skill. A person who always researches has a curious mind and is willing to know more information about the world. Underneath this paragraph, the picture is basically what I can do with research. The inner part is the comfort zone and the outer circle is the stretch zone. We learn the most when we are in the stretch zone.

What Type of learner I am

As most dancers are, I am a visual learner. For example, my dance teacher always gives me clips of people dancing and he tells me to copy his or her feeling or movement. He will also tell me to imagine I was that dancer in the clip and I have all of his or her qualities. I hope my future teachers will now know how to teach me.
