Work Place: More schooling isn't right for you?
Going straight to work after high school can be a rewarding path. But in a tough job market, young adults may have trouble getting a job, especially if they have no experience. If you have no experience, consider volunteering for a while to build skills. Talk to your school counselor and college and career teacher to help you find internships and volunteer work. Your volunteering and training may turn Into a career!
Students who go straight into the workplace usually do not have any formal credentials beyond a high school diploma. However, some people on this path might complete an apprenticeship or other form of on-the-job training.
