This year I will be teaching three core English classes. English Language Arts in 2020 looks quite a bit different from how it did when I first attended school. Our definition of literacy has expanded to include a wide variety of texts that enable students to better access resources in the world around them. English Language Arts classes help provide students with the necessary tools to find success in whatever avenue they pursue.
Our ELA team follows the state provide standards in order to follow the county created curriculum in order to best meet the needs of our students. We analyze nonfiction texts, fiction texts, and other forms of literature throughout the course of the year.
