BCC Partnership
The Center of Applied Sciences and Technology (COAST) is happy to partner with Brunswick Community College to help our students both while they are in high school, and when they graduate.
Career and College Promise (CCP) is in place for all Brunswick County School high school students. Brunswick County High School students can take classes - typically for free! - at Brunswick Community College (BCC) during their high school years. These classes frequently qualify for both high school and college credit.
CCP Coordinator: Career & College Promise: Jamie Madren at jmadren@bcswan.net.
Brunswick Community College has many different opportunities for students - including amazing professional and technical programs, nursing and allied health programs and college-transfer programs.
Brunswick Community College offers a lot of ways to help pay for college, in an effort to keep programs reasonable for students.
One program is the Brunswick Guarantee: Any student graduating from a Brunswick County High School (who has been with the Brunswick County schools the duration of their high school career) who has maintained a 2.3 GPA and met other requirements is guaranteed this scholarship.
"This scholarship covers all in-state tuition and fees not covered by financial aid or scholarships. It also provides up to $750 per semester for textbooks related to enrolled courses." - Brunswick Guarantee website
The BCC Financial Aid Department is there to help you figure out how to afford college! The Financial Aid department can assist in a variety of ways, including helping students complete the FAFSA, accessing local, state and federal scholarships and grants, and explaining the difference between scholarships, grants, and loans.
