Lego Zone

This column has always been a little strange. It is right in the middle of the library, but I am not allowed to put shelving here as there is wiring in the wall. It is now the perfect home for our 360 degree Lego Wall that allows students to work on all sides simultaneously.

I read this article to help me get started on this Lego adventure! I bought the base plates on Amazon. I quickly learned that you should use Liquid Nails on just the bottom row first and allow 24 hours to cure before adding more building plates, or all the plates will give into gravity and slide down the wall!

These storage ottomans are a perfect solution for seating and storage, also available on Amazon. I asked parents for donations of gently used Legos and quickly got everything I needed for this Zone. Both storage ottoman are full of cloth bins of Legos and you can see the overflow bins as well.
