REGISTRATION - In general, students in Math 3H will register for a higher-level math course which will meet the standards for a fourth-level math needed for UNC System enrollment. Either Pre-Calculus Honors (one semester), or AB-Tech MA 171 & MA 172 (two separate one-semester courses) will complete the pre-requisites for taking Calculus in the future. Speak to Mr Honea, your counselor, or other math teachers to make a decision about which pathway is right for you. Students may also take AB-Tech Statistics (MA 152), which is taught on the ACR campus, carries college credit, and meets the fourth math requirement. Beginning in 2026, we will offer Math 4 Honors, which provides extra preparation before beginning Pre-Calculus. Some students also take AP Computer Science, which might meet the math requirements in certain cases.
TUTORING - Tutoring for math classes is available from 7:30-7:55am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If possible, please let me know you are planning to come by the previous evening.
Reminder - This webpage does NOT provide day-to-day updates of assignments. Students should use their Google Classroom page to keep up with the class.
