Each 8th grader will take ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Your student will have a homeroom teacher who will be your main point of contact, unless you have a content specific question. All students will have all four classes each day, as well as two Elective classes. Students will choose from Art, Band (year-long), Career Exploration: General Management, Marketing Management, and Sport & Event Marketing , Career Exploration: Animal Science, Plant Systems, and Sustainable Agriculture, Chorus (semester or year-long), Creative Dramatics, Orchestra, and Spanish I (year-long with a high school credit possibility), or Spanish Heritage II (for students who have been in a Dual Language program or are native Spanish speakers; year-long with a high school credit possibility). Every child will have one semester of Health/Physical Education.
March 19th: Any families interested in attending CCMS as an 8th grader, are welcomed to CCMS Transition Night for information and a tour 6:00-7:00pm. Families should plan to attend for the entire hour.
