Rising 6th Graders

Our 6th graders will be on a team, meaning there are a group of teachers who teach ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies to the same students.  Your student will have a homeroom teacher who will be your main point of contact, unless you have a content specific question.  All students will have all four classes each day, as well as two Elective classes.   Students will choose from Art, Beginning Band (year-long), Beginning String Orchestra, Career Exploration, Chorus, Creative Dramatics, Exploring Childcare,  and Exploratory Spanish.  Every child will have one semester of Health/Physical Education.  

We will visit Fairview Elementary on March 3rd, and the students will come take a tour of CCMS on March 18th.  

Students who plan to take band should attend the instrument testing night on Thursday, March 20th between 5:00-7:00, or email Mr. Stewart for an appointment.  adam.stewart@bcsemail.org

Transition Night at Cane Creek Middle for rising 6th grade students from FES, as well as anyone else interested in joining us as a Hurricane, on March 31st 5:30-7:00pm.  Families should plan to attend for the entire time.

April 4th:  Schedule Cards due to teachers.
