Rising 6th Graders

Our 6th graders will be on a team, meaning there are a group of teachers who teach ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies to the same students.  Your student will have a homeroom teacher who will be your main point of contact, unless you have a content specific question.  All students will have all four classes each day, as well as two Elective classes.  Students will choose from Art, Beginning Band (year-long), Beginning String Orchestra, Career Exploration, Chorus, Creative Dramatics, Exploring Childcare,  and Exploratory Spanish.  Every child will have one semester of Health/Physical Education.  

We will visit Fairview Elementary on February 10th, and the students will come take a tour of CCMS on March 17th.  

Students who are interested in taking band should attend the instrument testing night on Tuesday, February 17th between 5:00-7:00, or email Mr. Stewart for an appointment.  adam.stewart@bcsemail.org *Students may only join band as 6th graders.

Transition Night at Cane Creek Middle for rising 6th grade students from FES, as well as anyone else interested in joining us as a Hurricane, on March 25th 5:30-7:00pm.  Families should plan to attend for the entire time.  Families may turn in completed Elective cards that night, or to FES by Tuesday, March 31st.
