Go to the Zoom app at Zoom.us and select Sign in.
Login with Google.
Select Meetings.
Click on Schedule a New Meeting.
Check Recurring meeting.
Click on the drop down menu for Recurrence and select No fixed time.
Meeting Id = automatically generated.
Keep Passcode unchecked but check the Waiting Room.
Both Host (teacher) and Participants (students) should have video turn on.
Uncheck Join before hosts. We do not want to students to join before the teacher arrives.
Click Save.
Copy the link and share it in your Google Classroom.
Create the recurring Zoom meeting.
Copy the link (not the entire invitation) using the shortcut CTRL + C.
Add a Announcement in Stream and/or an Assignment in Classwork without a topic. Make sure to Add the link using the shortcut CTRL + V.
Test your Zoom Audio using this built-in tool to hear how you will sound to others. This is useful for troubleshooting if others claim they cannot hear you.
Update: Use the Zoom Scheduler extension to schedule meetings with colleagues, not students. The Meeting is for your Personal Meeting Room. Teachers will want unique meeting their class(es) and should schedule class meetings using Zoom.us.
Install Zoom Scheduler extension.
Go to a new tab and type cal.new.
Type the meeting information and select Make it a Zoom Meeting.
Share a Zoom Usage Report
When someone wants to join the Zoom meeting, a message will appear. Click Admit.
Another method that allows you to admit multiple participants at once is to selecting Participants. A new menu on the right appears. You can admit each student individually or add all students at once.

Click Share Your Screen. This 60 second video shows you how.
Click the green Share Screen.
Check to make sure Share computer sound is checked.
Click the blue Share.
Click on Participants.
Find the staff member's name in the new window.
Click on More next to their name.
Select Make co-host.
To Allow Share
Click on the arrow next to Share Screen.
Select Multiple participants can share simultaneously.
To Remove Share
Find the Participant's name.
Select More.
Click Stop participant's sharing.
There are many reasons why you may need to temporarily mute an attendee. Here's how.
Click on Participants. A sidebar menu will appear.
Find the student's name.
Select Mute.
You can mute the entire class at once or individually. Participants are the only ones who can unmute themselves.
Click on Participants to view the sidebar.
Find the participant's name.
Select More.
Select Stop video.
When the teacher wants to turn the video on, they may click the same button but the student must accept the request.
Click on chat. Enjoy this quiet communication feature.
Suggestion: hide the Participants menu to view a large chat box.
Chat messages can be sent to Everyone or individual participants.
If you are sharing your screen and want to view the chat, you can
Ask a student to type a message. Select More. Select Chat.
Use the shortcut ALT + H to open the chat box.
