Teamwork’s our favorite! Let’s gear up and spread some cheer!
Hi friends! Buddy the Elf here! I just wanted to remind everyone how to spread the best kind of robot cheer — by being kind, respectful, and totally awesome teammates! Here’s how:
🎁 Act with integrity, honesty, and reliability!
Because robots (and elves!) work best when everyone can count on each other.
💫 Be respectful and professional with everyone — teammates, other teams, volunteers, and RECF staff.
We’re all part of the same magical workshop!
🌟 Stay calm and mature — even when things get a little… well, like your robot just threw a snowball at the field. Take a deep breath and handle challenges like the pros you are!
🎄 Celebrate differences!
Every team member brings something special — just like every elf in Santa’s workshop.
🔧 Take care of the event space and equipment.
Let’s keep everything as shiny and sparkly as the North Pole!
📘 Follow all the rules in the game manual.
Rules keep things fair, fun, and festive for everyone!
🤖 Keep it student-centered!
Robots are built and run by YOU — the amazing students!
Adults are here to cheer you on and offer guidance, but:
🎅 No adult hands on the robots during the event,
🤖 No adults in the practice fields or skills area, and
🗣️ No adults telling teams how to drive, code, or run their robots during matches.
That’s what makes it a true student-built, student-driven, student-awesome competition!
🧤 Safety first!
No one wants an accidental tangle in the tinsel. Think before you build, move, or test!
🤝 Show good sportsmanship!
Cheer for your alliance partners and your opponents — we’re all here to learn, grow, and spread robot joy!
