An asynchronous eLearning day is a flexible, student paced, online day of learning for students. BCSC can utilize eLearning days for specific schools or district-wide for inclement weather, student health, and/or safety concerns. The first 3 inclement weather days of the school year are likely eLearning days for students K-12, unless announced otherwise by school corporation leadership. School corporation leadership may seek additional asynchronous eLearning days due to extentuating circumstances.
eLearning lessons will be posted in our district-wide learning management system, Canvas, by 9 AM. Staff will be available to chat with students and provide support from 9 AM to 3 PM. Students independently work, at their own pace, on asynchronous eLearning days. Students will have 3 days following an eLearning day to submit eLearning day assignments*. In the event of multiple asynchronous eLearning days taking place in a short period of time, school corporation leadership may extend eLearning day assignment deadlines.
