"The Importance of Test Integrity" - A message from Theresa Jones, Chief Achievement and Accountability Officer
City Schools is committed to recognizing and accommodating members of all faiths with a variety of traditions, observances, and practices pertaining to the observance of religious holidays. To this end, we are committed to not scheduling primary (i.e. first-time) testing opportunities on recognized observance days. It is the school’s responsibility to honor these days proactively; it should not be students’ responsibility to declare their religious observance, nor on the school testing coordinator to investigate all students’ observances. Schools may schedule make-up testing on observance days so long as there are also make-up testing opportunities on non-observance days. Schools can find the list of Observance Days on the district’s official calendar.
STCs must submit a test schedule as a requirement. Test schedule should be completed using MSDE's State Scheduling Tool BEFORE the test schedule due date. Test schedule due dates are listed above. Each school has a School Code such as 30-0123 (LEA Number-Four Digit School Number). The password for all schools is "Access". Click here for login help. You can also review the Schedule Tool for STCs training video. If you have questions or need support, please reach out to a member of the Student Assessment Team.
NEW!!!! The Statewide Test Schedule Tool (itempra.org/schedule) has been updated this year to allow STCs to enter starting times for each testing day. The feature can be accessed by clicking on the "clock" icon on each testing day. Entering starting times for testing each day will help MSDE manage observation schedules. If testing is scheduled on a day but no starting time has been entered, the STC will see a reminder above the calendar after they select a testing window.
