The 2023 needs assessment will happen from March to November/December of 2023. We are building on existing data and where possible trying to reduce the number of surveys for our students, families, and staff. We are also bringing together a number of resources to support community school coordinators as they complete this process.

Existing Data Review
Worksheets for each school , survey results from last year, and attendance and climate data will be uploaded to online community school Sharepoint folders.

Asset Mapping

Surveys
Coordinators will support collection of the City Schools student and family surveys.
Partner Surveys: City Schools will email a link to all partners witn an email address in your trackers.
Community Surveys (optional): If you want City Schools to share the link with individuals provide a list of email addresses to Holly Gonzales, hegonzales@bcps.k12.md.us
Use this worksheet to bring all your data together over the summer in preparation for writing your report.

Story Map Pilot
The needs assessment doesn't stop with the report - coordinators still need to share their findings with their school communities. This year we are piloting StoryMap as a way to do this. Contact Holly Gonzales if you are interested in having one made for your school.
