"No individual alone can transform our schools into places where all children get what they need every day... Teams have great potential for solving hard problems in challenging contexts. They bring together more skill, knowledge, and experience to work than any single individual can."
Elena Aguilar, The Art of Coaching Teams
Literacy coaches work with individual teachers in coaching cycles focused on planning, observation, feedback, and analyzing student learning. At the same time, coaches work with teacher teams on cycles of professional learning to build best practices in literacy. These cycles of professional learning generally follow an 8-week progression of specific collaborative planning activities.
