Fall Down Seven, Rise Eight
As a part of the Museum of Formation, we explore how mistakes, failures, falls, and losses contribute to human formation. Drawing on the ancient philosophy of Wabi Sabi, and the art form of Kintsugi, we explore how cracks and breaks to the self offer opportunities for us to exercise strength, perseverance, and creativity in the act of rebuilding and how the act of rebuilding contributes to our holistic formation. The exhibit's title, "Fall Down Seven, Rise Eight" is a Japanese proverb which encourages perseverance in the face of challenges.
