Homework
Homework is not graded, but used to drive instruction and create small groups. Participation is graded and noted in report card. Effort is also graded and noted in report card. Participation and effort are informally observed.

Our grading policy does not include dropping or curving grades. Students will rarely, if at all, earn a grade of a zero. We provide additional time, support, resources, and instruction to avoid a grade of a 0. We offer make-up work and opportunities to retake tests if requested or necessary. We do not offer extra credit. We do accept late work, with a deduction in points given. Neatness is not graded on assessments, but taken into account when it becomes challenging when deciphering numbers and grading the problem. A rubric that includes neatness will be used for special projects during the year.
