*REPORTING OF STUDENT ABSENCES: --> Please notify us of your child's absence before school begins.
>PLEASE CONTACT the BBES ATTENDANCE OFFICER MRS. CARMEN TORRES in the MAIN OFFICE at EXT. 115 or You May Email at: ctorres1@bbesnj.org --> You can leave a message any time, day or night. Include the following information: Student’s name, your relationship to student, the current date and expected duration of absence, & the reason for the absence. Please leave a valid phone number in the event a return call to the home is needed.
*You may also include our School Nurse within the email as well if it involves Infectious Disease Diagnoses, Surgical Procedures, & Injury Related Matters pertaining to your child. Should Crutches, Wheelchair, &/or Elevator Use be required for your child, a Medical Note explaining the injury and length of time the child will need these Special Accommodations throughout the school day be listed and described by your attending physician.* ➡️Please go to the 'Instructional Video' page within the Health Office web page in order to view Proper Crutch Walking Technique & How To Properly Size Your Crutches!
MEDICAL PROVIDER NOTES
A note from your child's medical provider is required
for all absences of three (3) days or longer
to return to school from suspected communicable disease.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION EXCUSES*A written or verbal parent/guardian request is necessary for excuse from physical education class. Please note that whenever your child is excused from physical education, he/she will also be excused from recess. If an excuse for longer than three (3) days is anticipated, a note is required from your child's medical provider.*
