A Typical Day
Circle Time
Children sit as a group to discuss monthly highlights, listen to stories and nursery rhymes, and introduce color, shape, letter, and number concepts.
Centers & Free Play
Exploration in centers includes sensory play, block building, process art, home living, and manipulative exploration. All toys provide gross and fine motor development and are rotated on a regular basis. Children are provided age-appropriate opportunities to enhance their social-emotional and motor skills. Teachers engage one-on-one with children during playtime and through art projects.
Lunch
Children eat together with lunch provided from home.
Circle Time (Bible Focused)
Children review the weekly Bible story and engage in themed activities.
Centers & Free Play
Free play at the tables or on the floor prompt children to enhance their imagination, problem-solving skills, and social interactions in age appropriate ways. Children continue to explore and discover in learning centers.
Recess
Gross motor time in the gym or on the outdoor playground. During this time, children enjoy playing and interacting with one another and teachers.
Dismissal
Parents pick up from the Welcome Center.
Other Group activities include:
Music & Movement - Children will be exposed to a variety of music genres, styles, and instruments. This weekly class is used to explore different music from around the world while practicing skills in listening and following directions.
Worship - Students will experience God's Word through song, teaching, activities, and prayer during weekly worship time.
Science - Weekly science experiments and activities help students learn to observe, predict, and investigate the world around them.
