General Safety Rules

1. Do not enter the shop unless an instructor is present.

2. Eye protection is required.

3. Long hair is dangerous and must be tied back

4. No jewelry, loose clothing or long should be worn.

5. Absolutely no horseplay in the shop.

6. Devote all your attention to the machine that you are using.

7. Stay behind the safety lines unless you are using a machine.

8. Do not handle tools or materials except for a project work.

9. Ask for only enough help to do the job.

10. Clean up your mess and replace the tools when you are through.

11. Disconnect power before changing belts and blades or adjusting machines.

12. Do not leave a machine until all motion has stopped.

13. You do not have the right to do nothing and maintain an active involvement with your project.

14. Treat all classmates with respect, consideration, and fairness.
