5th And 6th Graders, This is your first

"Introduction To Shop" project.

What this is entailing are several aspects as a introduction to the Laurin Woodshop.
As 5th and 6th graders you are not going to be using power tools. Your time in the woodshop is getting familiar with how we work, act, and follow the mandatory safety rules. Additionally, your time here is treated like an interview for later grades when we will be on power equipment such as the band-saws, drill presses etc.

Through the course of this projects and others in 5th and 6th grade you will be learning about and utilizing skills such as:

Gluing,
Nailing,
Sanding,
Designing,
Using a Coping saw and,
Using a File and Rasp.
