This year we've worked hard doing "digital learning". I'd encourage you to make sure your child steps away from the computer, reduce screen time, and practice their skills in their everyday activities. Encourage good speech at the breakfast table, at the park, on the phone with grandma, in the car, or playing with siblings! Here's a list of activities you can do with your word list that DON'T include a screen.
Say your word list after brushing your teeth every morning.
Play a board game. Have your child say their speech words 5x before they can take a turn. Don't have a board game? Make your own (link found on my speech games page)
Draw your speech words
"Catch your kid" using good speech throughout the day. If you hear a word from your list used correctly, give them a penny in a jar. Have them save up for a simple reward like stickers or day at the park (This is a great alternative to you having to always "nag" your student to use good speech).
Write a story or comic strip using your speech words
Blow bubbles! Have your child say their word 5x before taking a turn.
Need more ideas? Use these calendars to practice daily.
