A Note To Parents
Counseling staff are here to advocate and assist your student while at Central. Please support our efforts by...
Contacting the individual teachers first with concerns about assignments, grades or student progress
Asking teachers for specific feedback and to offer specific recommendations/suggestions for improving academic achievement in their classes
Contacting counselors if grade concerns are not resolved
Seeking additional help from teachers before or after school
Being willing to meet with staff to create plan for your student if necessary
Encouraging your students to take advantage of "drop-in” tutoring teacher hours and GVSU services
Contacting counselors if/when questions arise or unresolved concerns continue
