1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module prepares you to position yourself within a professional context and you are encouraged to identify professional opportunities, such as potential employers and promotional platforms. You will be supported in developing a comprehensive promotional package presented in a professional format both traditional and digital to promote you and your work as you graduate and enter the industry.
2.Outline syllabus:
You will be supported to develop suitable promotional material and apply your project management skills to plan and implement a comprehensive promotional package in professional formats, whilst being aware of intellectual property. This will include a professional fashion portfolio in appropriate traditional and digital formats communicating your personal design practice and identity as a designer, as well as a personal look book of your collection providing collaboration opportunities with photography/graphic design students.
You will be encouraged to devise a plan for your immediate future, that will include preparation to approach potential employers. Building on FD5002-20 you will produce an updated CV and cover letter to accompany your creative promotional package that should be suitable to mail out as a hard copy or electronically to an identified target market. You are expected to be organised and professional in the communication and promotion of your work.
