1. Brief description and aims of module:
Education Secondary Independent Research part 2 takes forward the project plan devised in Education Secondary Independent Research Part 1(EDU6007-20).
In this module you will create the resource designed in part 1, provide a rationale and explanation of its potential use and demonstrate how it will address the issues raised by your review of the literature and your research.
Your project therefore will be theoretically and critically informed. You will be able to draw on understandings of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment gained through the core modules at level 5 and other optional modules at level 5 & 6
You will produce a Dissertation Part 2 (5000 words) which includes your research findings, resource and the evaluation of the resource.
In support of this you will continue to work with a project supervisor.
2.Outline syllabus
You will learn how to gather the components of a central argument and how to build one clear and coherent case through the writing of a review of the literature and the completion of your research.
You will be introduced to methods of appropriate research analysis, the making of a case and drawing appropriate conclusions
