Please note that in order to take this module you must have studied EDU6004-20 Dissertation Project: Part 1.
1. Brief description and aims of module:
Educational Research Project Part 2 takes forward the project plan devised in Part 1(EDU6004). In this module, you will develop your analysis of your chosen topic based on your research in Part 1. Your project therefore will be theoretically and critically informed. You will draw on understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and classroom policy and professional practice gained through the core modules at level 5 and other optional modules at level 5 & 6.
You will use your creativity to produce a resource (identified and planned for in Part 1) designed to address the issues outlined in your written analysis. You will be required to make direct links between theory, policy and practice.
In your peer learning groups you will share your project aims and intended outcomes for the resource/artefact.
The group will evaluate each others' resources and provide feedback.
You will produce a Dissertation Part 2 (5000 words) which includes your research findings, resource and the evaluation of the resource.
2.Outline syllabus
You will learn how to gather the components of a central argument and how to build one clear and coherent case through the writing of a review of the literature. You will be introduced to methods of appropriate research analysis, the making of a case and drawing appropriate conclusions.
