1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module aims to introduce participants to the practice of teaching writing to individuals and groups. The module gives you the opportunity to plan, undertake and evaluate two creative writing teaching practices. It builds on the theoretical and pedagogical knowledge developed in the Teaching Writing module in Semester One. Students wishing to take this module in Semester Two must complete Teaching Writing in Semester One.
2. Outline syllabus:
The module provides guidance and support to help you to plan, undertake and evaluate two teaching practices. All students keep a learning log to track their reflections on the experience of planning and teaching their sessions and applying theory learned in Teaching Writing. Teaching sessions do not take place every week to accommodate this self-directed work.

Teaching Practice 1 reflection.

3. Teaching and learning activities:
The module is not taught every week of the semester. You will be given time to plan, deliver and evaluate your teaching. Tutors are available for drop-in sessions and tutorials on non-teaching weeks.
