This module is a pre-requisite for CWR6104-20 Creative Enterprise Project 2.
1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module increases the employability of students who are studying creative disciplines. It is designed to allow you to plan a substantial project which you may then decide to take into the wider world by progressing on to Creative Enterprise 2. All students are supported to:
investigate the context in which they will be working;
find their own planning methods;
use the planning methods to plan their projects (including cost/income projections);
capture their work into assessable artefacts
Some students may decide to take only Creative Enterprise 1 and not to progress on to Creative Enterprise 2. In this case, you will leave the module with a completed project plan.
The feedback you receive in your assessments and tutorials will be designed to give you some ideas of how to potentially take the project forward in the future, should you decide to do so.
2. Outline syllabus:
You will be introduced to concepts including, but not limited to, Project Management, employability, personal brand, networking, vision statements, , mission statements, elevator pitches, organisational charts, strategic marketing, contingency planning, and financial planning.
If funding and/or training opportunities are made available through the university, the Module Leader will advise you either in person or through Minerva.
3. Teaching and learning activities:
The module will use a mixture of lectures, workshops, individual tutorials and group or individual active learning.
