1.Brief description and aims of module
This module aims to support your development if you are new to responsibilities for module and course leadership, helping develop your teaching and learning practice in the sphere of module design and development. The module builds on development and skills from HEP7001’s focus on direct engagement with students, to reflect on, evaluate and analyse a module for which the participants has responsibility (or joint responsibility) in leading and then designing and planning for the future. The wider context of the programme, institutional and national issues, processes and procedures are an important part of widening the sphere of development beyond classroom teaching to understand higher education more fully. The module is designed to build on the knowledge and skills of UKPSF D1 accredited development (such as HEP7001) to support you in demonstrating D2 on the UKPSF, and related outcomes for the Academic Professional Apprenticeship.
You should have the required level of responsibility at module level in order to undertake the module.
