1.Brief description and aims of module
This module supports you in investigating and making changes to an aspect of your own practice. Designed as a flexible module, it is suitable for individuals working alone, or groups of professionals working together on a common project. It is structured as a scaffolded, ongoing assessment (formative and summative) of professional development through research and practice.
2.Outline syllabus
The following is an indicative list of topics covered:
Face to face sessions and independent learning will enable you to engage in the process of action enquiry. Action enquiry is a process of systematic reflection, enquiry and action carried out by you to explore and improve your own professional practice. Enquiry is a collaborative process, and central to the learning process is the critical perspective provided by talking to other colleagues. Reflection on practice is central to this process, led by asking questions to generate new knowledge.
3.Teaching and learning activities
Face to face sessions with a tutor plus additional one to one support via telephone, email and/or Skype
