1.Brief description and aims of module
To produce a polished calling card script, be able to pitch it, and to realise the production/rehearsed reading of their original work.
2.Outline syllabus
Each student finishes ONE of the following:
Each student will also develop a pitch for their script and write an essay explaining where it will fit in the industry
This script may be either a reworking of something a student has already done in a previous module, OR completely new work

The industry will be widely defined. It will include scripts aimed at Hollywood and UK film industry, but also sitcoms, soaps, theatre in education, school plays, works for amateur dramatic groups, documentaries, physical theatre, action films, rom coms, devised work, and much more.
3.Teaching and learning activities
Teaching will be in intensive sessions on 5 Saturdays or 3 weekends over the summer. There will be two tutors, and between them they will be able to cover all the media. While one tutor is seeing students for individual tutorials, the other will be running a workshop for all the others. The two tutors will take turns doing this.
