Getting to Know your Chromebook

Changing the Display Settings to "Mirrored " for projecting image from your screen. If you are comfortable using an extended desktop, you can keep the "Extended Desktop" option selected. You will have to swipe right to find the screen you are projected. Using the "Extended Desktop" option gives you the ability to make changes or work on your computer while projecting another screen.

Switching from a Mac to a Chromebook

If you are a Apple user you most likely have many documents in Pages and Keynote that you don't want to lose when making the switch to a Chromebook.

To keep these documents in the cloud, it is necessary to first convert them to Microsoft Word or Powerpoint files. Both of these can be saved in your Google Drive where you will have the option of converting them to editable Google Docs and Slides.

Keep in mind, if there are several images in your Pages document, the conversion may not be identical. There are inconsistencies with alignment and some images may not transfer. The good news is, you can always reinsert the image into your Google Doc after the conversion.
